Highlights

Student Orchestras of Greater Olympia
Families are invited to introduce their children to a classical musical experience at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts. John Welsh, Music Director of the Student Orchestras of Greater Olympia will conduct the Conservatory Orchestra in works by Beethoven and Berlioz. A Sneak Preview: Fantasy Lights Walk
For families who enjoy strolling to driving through light displays, Nov. 19 is the day to walk through Fantasy Lights. This is the only chance to walk through Spanaway Lake Park before it becomes a drive-through only event Nov. 24. Fantasy Lights features more than 290 larger than life illuminated displays at Spanaway Park. Approximately 2.5 miles. No dogs, scooters, bikes or skates, but strollers, wheelchairs and wagons welcome. 5-7pm Nov. 19. $3 per person, $8 per family. Winnie the Pooh
The beloved classic by A. A. Milne is brought to life as it is performed entirely by youngsters age 8-15. The delightful characters of Piglet, Pooh, Eeyore, Rabbit and Kanga as well as Christopher Robin and Owl come together to battle Heffalumps, rid the forest of fierce animals and find Eeyore's tail which goes missing on his birthday. Beatrice and Benedict. Tacoma Opera opens the season with a rare production of Hector Berlioz's Beatrice and Benedict.
