Destination PLAY!
With the longer days of summer, it’s time to explore beyond your neighborhood playground and discover some of the South Sound’s gems. Join us on a tour of nine great play spaces, including a hide-away park by a fish-stocked lake and an enormous walk-in fort in Pierce County; a community fountain and a pirates’ ship in Thurston County; and a space where music, art and play come together in Kitsap County. Plus, if you’re flying anywhere this summer, you’ll appreciate the new play space at Sea-Tac Airport.

Summer Reading
In our annual summer reading section, get ready for programs at local libraries organized around the theme “Paws, Claws, Scales and Tales.” Find out why it’s so important to read to your child – and how to help children who cannot afford books of their own. Read about three new multi-cultural books from local authors in Puget Sound Parent Recommends.
