‘Make Every Mother and Child
Count’
In our local and global perspective on maternal
and childhood health, we begin with the World Health Organization’s
“Make Every Mother and Child Count” campaign and look at how
local organizations are making a difference in mortality rates in developing
countries. Narrowing the focus to Washington state and the Puget Sound
area, we examine how local health officials are making improvements and
working to reduce the disparities in health care access for minorities
and low-income families.
Raising a Nature Lover
We all know we should encourage our
children spend more time out in nature, but how can we do that? Find 11
practical tips from heading into your own back yard or one of our stellar
