Out & About: Places to See Winter Animals
When it’s cold outside, we may slow down,
but many animals, including wolves, polar bears and reindeer, become more
active. Three of the best places to see them are in the South Sound area,
at Wolf Haven, Northwest Trek and Point Defiance Zoo. Round off your winter
excursions with a trip to Cougar Mountain Zoo in Issaquah, home of one
of the country’s largest reindeer herds.
