Habitat is Where It's At
Free Kids’ Days at Northwest Trek! Up to four children ages 3 to 12 can visit the park free with one paying adult during the Kids ‘N’ Critters Naturefest, held Jan. 13-15. Kids can explore their wild sides as they participate in outdoor walks, hands-on crafts, and animal presentations. Activities include making a habitat wheel, tree cookie necklaces, playing habitat games, watching a creature feature video and participating in a survival-themed scavenger hunt. Seattle Mariners Fanfest
Run around the bases on a Big League field, catch pop flies in the outfield, tour the Seattle Mariners team clubhouse, and get autographs from current and former Mariners players Jan. 27-28 at Safeco Field. Events include the Raul Ibanez Skills Challenge, interactive baseball experiences, Kids Zone photos with the Mariner Moose, Dugout Dialogue question and answer session with Mariners players, a behind-the-scenes tour of the clubhouse and weight room, and much more. Missoula Children's Theatre Auditions
Children in first to 12th grades are invited to audition with the Missoula Children's Theater for a part in Beauty Lou and the Country Beast. Fifty children will be chosen; no prior acting experience is necessary. Training is free, but a week’s commitment is required for those who are chosen. The Art of Music

Memory Map Making. Using the art of Aminah Brenda Lynn Robinson as inspiration, local artists will lead a mixed-media workshop on creating personal memory maps.
